Espresso Elements

Welcome to Espresso Elements
- Espresso Bar and Coffee House.

Here at Espresso Elements, we want you to experience the very best in fresh, quality driven espresso. From the beans you grind, to the equipment you use and the coffee you drink, we hope you enjoy every element of fine espresso coffee.

Espresso Elements was born from a simple idea - great, consistent espresso coffee.

Here’s a typical scenario…

You have your favourite local haunt. When Mary is working the machine you know the coffee will be smooth, full of flavour and at the right temperature. She even adds your half-a-sachet of sugar before you ask. However when Max is at the machine you might still order your coffee but it’s over-extracted, piping hot and you just know he’ll forget the sugar, even though you come everyday. Twice.

Sound familiar?

Unfortunately everyone and their dog does coffee these days, but not everyone does it great or does it great consistently. And when they do it great they think they’re on some higher plane and roll their eyes you when you ask for a weak skinny latte.

So this is where Espresso Elements was born.

We decided we would take control over the entire process. Buy our own green beans, origin-batch roast, use a digital roaster that gives us consistency, use superior espresso equipment, clean our instruments religiously and train our staff to pursue excellence.

We compare our workplace to a kitchen. You start on the pans (delivering beverages, takings orders) and work your way up to the hot plates (head Barista). If you can’t make coffee, then you can’t make coffee. Sound brutal? Nah… We have passionate people at Espresso Elements and we have a lot of fun too. Coffee is a complex business and you never stop learning - these are the values we wish to instill in our staff. So what if someone wants a weak skinny latte? You make them the best damn weak skinny latte they’ve ever had!

So we decided to focus on coffee alone. Many people hinted we should provide a more ‘café’ style food menu but our theory was that you can get food anywhere, but you can’t get great coffee everywhere. Our organic nibbles are delicious and compliment our coffees but they are not the main focus.

At Espresso Elements you can sit down with a great coffee, hot chocolate or tea. You can then take these products and enjoy them at home. It’s the same with our espresso equipment and hardware. You can try out most of the machines before you buy which really gives the customer an informed position.

As we grew we found other cafes, offices and businesses wanted our products so our wholesaling division was born. We’re not about wind breakers and umbrellas. We believe the individual business should be promoted, not us. And we believe in providing our customers the greatest products, equipment and support.

Espresso Elements is proudly Australian and owned by Jade Chandler and Callum Power, it was established 2007.

Callum:

Callum’s background is in five star hotel management and then coffee wholesaling. He has worked and lived all over Australia, the UK and Ireland. Callum’s obsession is finding the perfect espresso equipment in order to perfect his extractions. Presently his recommendation is the La Vibiemme Super Domobar (for the home) but would really like to install a two group ECM Veneziano. But his wife won’t let him just yet. His coffee of choice is Daily Blend No.1 with a touch of Mocha Limu and his tipple is a double ristretto first thing, followed by a double ristretto caffe latte. Watch out!

Jade:

Jade has worked in catering and hospitality for as long as she can remember, both parents being chefs. Her father later introduced her to the coffee industry and his twenty years experience gave her great mentorship. Jade traveled the world extensively from a young age and has worked in travel, retail and hospitality. Her flair is for design and marketing but that’s not to say she doesn’t pull a mean espresso! Her machine of choice is La Pavoni’s Professional Lusso for its form and function. Her favourite coffee at the moment is Colombian Supremo and she takes a caffe latte. Straight up.

Espresso Elements was designed as a place where anyone, of any age, any day of the week can feel comfortable and take pleasure in consistent, fine coffee.

Enjoy!
